"I was told I had assignments to review, but I can't see them" |
If a reviewer reaches out to you informing you that they are unable to locate assignments you have distributed it could be one of the few following reasons.
Potential Reasons:
- They have filters applied
- The applications were assigned but are not currently in a stage to be reviewed
- The application is in the correct stage but the assignments were not fully made
- Assume the role of the reviewer
- Click to Start or Continue the the program/stage they are to review
- Confirm whether or not the filter at the top of the page is set to 'All Applications to Review', or 'Incomplete Reviews'.
- Try toggling between the two to see if the applications appear.
The applications were assigned but are not currently in a stage to be reviewed
- Go to Manage Reviews
- Select the Reviewer that is experiencing difficulties
- Above the list of reviewers toggle the Active Assignments dropdown to Inactive Assignments.
NOTE: This will display applications that are assigned to the reviewer but are not in the correct stage to be reviewed. - If applicable, you can investigate each one in Manage Applications to determine which stage they are in and why they may not be ready for review.
The application is in the correct stage but the assignments were not distributed
If you have completed the steps mentioned above and discovered that the applications are not in either the Active Assignments or Inactive Assignments list, then it means the applications have not been assigned successfully.
- Go to Manage Applications
- Locate the applications you believe should be assigned and confirm that they are in the correct stage
- Go to the Workflow
- Go to the Stage Configurations of the Review stage
- Go to the Assignments tab
i. Confirm that Reviewer Assignments have been setup within the stage
ii. Confirm that any Custom Assignments are Active
iii. Confirm that the Conditions of the Custom Assignments are met.
If a reviewer has completed their advanced reviews and believe that the score they gave is not correct, we would recommend the following steps.
- Go to your Workflow
- Access the Form Builder of the form that is causing you difficulties
- If you have any closed ended questions (i.e. Multiple Choice, Dropdown, etc.), check to see that the scores within the form are set up correctly.
NOTE: A common mistake that can be made is that questions where a score is not applicable are left with their default scoring enabled. Therefore, even though a score is not desired to be calculated, the system will internally calculate the default score into the total score of the form. For more information, you can refer to How to Set Up an Advanced Review Form. Once the scores in the form have been updated correctly, the scores in the site will be updated retroactively.
Depending on how your site has been set up there are certain times a Task will be unavailable to the reviewer. If a reviewer has contacted you questioning why they are unable to click to Edit a review task, refer to the potential reasons below.
NOTE: For information in regards to the reviewer stage settings you can refer to our articles on:
Potential Reasons:

Based on the settings of your site it is possible that the reviewer is unable to edit the task after already completing it.
- Assume the role of the reviewer to confirm whether or not they have completed the task for a specific application
- If they have completed the task, go to the Workflow
- Go to the Stage Configurations of the advanced review stage
- Open up the Settings tab
- Within the settings of the task they are trying to edit, confirm whether or not "Allow Review Editing" is currently enabled.
